Summer 2007 - Study Trip to Switzerland for German teachers
Presence Switzerland, in close cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland, Washington, DC will sponsor a study trip for German language and culture teachers to experience Switzerland firsthand! A maximum of 15 selected applicants will travel to Switzerland for an organized group program of approximately 5 days (plus travel time) in the Summer of 2007 to gain a picture of Switzerland based on diverse encounters.
To be considered for this study trip you must have at least 5 years of teaching experience and also be committed to service work in the German language comunity so that you can bring what you learn on this trip not only into the classroom but also to language meetings, counseling sessions, and other speaking engagements, thus sharing your knowledge with a true cross-section of American society. Preference will also be given to middle-school, high-school and undergraduate college teachers.
Your flight to and from Switzerland as well as basic hotel accommodations, meals, group travel within Switzerland, and accident insurance will be covered by Presence Switzerland. Extra hotel amenitites such as minibar, telephone, pay-TV, as well as overseas health insurance coverage are the responsibility of the participants.
